Hello Fresh Review

Dinner at our house goes one of two ways. Either I’m making dinner as my husband arrives home or I get lazy and wait till he gets home and I hope that with enough whining and complaining he’ll just say “let’s go out to dinner.” I really do love to cook, but sometimes the thought of spending an hour or more in the kitchen making dinner, eating and cleaning up just doesn’t sound appealing after a long day at work.

I sometimes get into the rut of making the same things over and over and eventually they just don’t sound appealing anymore. Does anyone else deal with this dinner anxiety like I do? Since I wanted to get out of my cooking rut, I decided to give the dinner subscription service Hello Fresh a try. Here’s a peek into what comes in the box, the dinners we made and my overall thoughts on it.

Weekly Food Vlog :: August 10 – August 16

Since I’ve been focusing a little bit more on fitness on the blog lately, I decided to put together a vlog of what I ate for an entire week. I have always liked watching the “What’s for Dinner” vlogs on Youtube. I feel like everyone gets in a cooking rut and starts to eat the same things over and over again. And if that happens to you and you’re anything like me, then I get really cranky when it comes time to deciding what’s for dinner because I get tired of the same foods over and over again.

Watching videos like these help me to think of new dinner ideas and try out dishes I might not have otherwise had before. One of the dishes I made for dinner last week was one that I found on a Youtube channel and my husband and I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to make it again!

So here’s what I ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Sunday August 10 through Saturday August 16!

Cupcake Wars

Anyone who knows me knows that I have the world’s biggest sweet tooth. If I could, I would eat cupcakes, cookies and chocolate all day everyday. In fact, it’s my dream to one day open a cupcake cafe/bakery. I can only make cupcakes out of a box though..ha!

I also will tell you that I LOVE to wind down and watch tv…mindless tv at that. One of my new favorite shows is Cupcake Wars on the Food Network. It always makes me hungry when I watch it now!
